Wall Sconces lend ambient light to a room with a soft background glow that compliments chandeliers and recessed lighting.
They can be placed in any area of a home or commercial space. Examples of wall sconces can be seen in many design styles through the times.
As a general rule, wall sconces should be located at 60”above the floor. In rooms with high ceilings this rule can change, and make the placement of the fixture higher to highlight the room scale.
When choosing the finish, style and scale of your sconces it is always best to take into account the design and finish of the primary source of light in the room.
Consider an option of a mica shade on a sconce that is going to be at eye level and cause glare. When selecting your light bulbs, 25w-40w is recommended for sconces. This is in account that their placement is closer to eye level and having a very bright light bulb close would be very uncomfortable. All of our wall sconces use candelabra base light bulbs up to 60w. Light bulbs not included.
